Capio Privathospital acquires MR Scanner Viborg

 

Capio Privathospital has today acquired the scanning clinic MR Scanner Viborg. We are very pleased to announce the acquisition, which strengthens our market position within imaging services in line with our strategic focus areas.

 

Capio MRI scans across the country

Capio Viborg has had a well-functioning collaboration with MR Scanner Viborg and has used the clinic as a subcontractor for many years. MR Scanner Viborg is now part of the Capio Group. This means that we can now offer MRI scans under Capio auspices at all our locations across the country.

MR Scanner Viborg, like Capio Viborg, is located at Viborg Stadium, a short distance between the hospital and the MR clinic. Here, MRI scans are offered on two modern 1.5 T scanners, one of which was replaced as recently as the summer of 2020. The clinic performs 12-15,000 scans annually for the public sector, insurance companies and self-payers.

 

Tenders in Central Region

MR Scanner Viborg was founded in 2005 and has had a cooperation agreement with the Central Denmark Region (formerly Viborg County) for almost as long. Currently, the clinic has a tender contract with the Central Denmark Region for the western part of the region. Capio will take over this agreement in connection with the acquisition of the clinic.

 

New colleagues and a strengthened offer

MR Scanner Viborg will become part of Capio Viborg under the leadership of Hospital Manager Rikke Dupont and with Chief Radiographer Liam Ha as the responsible professional. All employees in MR Scanner Viborg will continue in the clinic, so we can ensure the same high level of service in the future.
