CFR Hospitals acquires Astra Imaging

CFR Hospitals acquires Astra Imaging and becomes the country's largest center for advanced imaging diagnostics.

Denmark's largest privately owned private hospital, CFR Hospitals, with hospitals on Zealand, Funen and Jutland, is now acquiring Astra Billeddiagnostik. Together with CFR Hospitals' previous facilities, the Imaging Center will have 5 MRI scanners, 4 X-ray facilities, ultrasound diagnostics, Dexa scanner and a large clinical mammography center. With more than 300 employees and more than 40,000 patient contacts and 8,000 operations annually, CFR Hospitals is the country's largest Danish-owned private hospital with four large departments on Zealand, Funen and Jutland. High professionalism, quality and patient safety will continue to be paramount. Astra Billeddiagnostik has extensive agreements with the regions on MRI scans and clinical mammography and together with CFR Hospitals will be able to develop imaging diagnostics and further develop the existing offer for private individuals, insurance companies and regions.

As of November 4, 2016, the private hospital group CFR Hospitals has acquired Astra Billeddiagnostik located on Jægersborgvej in Lyngby. Throughout its lifetime, Astra has achieved extensive cooperation with regions and insurance companies and offers MRI scans with short waiting times as well as clinical mammography.

High patient satisfaction and quality

CFR Hospitals and Astra Imaging are both accredited according to the Danish quality model and have been ranked at the top of national patient satisfaction surveys over the years.

Astra Imaging will continue under the name CFR Hospitals - Astra.

The function will continue unchanged at the Lyngby site, where all clinical mammography activity will continue to be located, while the MRI scans will be distributed between the sites in Lyngby and Hellerup.
