Changes in Capio's Executive Board

In these times, when the healthcare sector is undergoing extensive changes, it is our most important task to keep up with the development in order to continue to ensure more health of the highest quality for our common customers. We must continuously adapt Capio to the changing market, which requires a focus on optimizing existing specialties and developing new healthcare offerings that fit the market, while keeping quality assurance as our top priority. To ensure this, Søren Kjeldsen has decided to step down from the role as CEO of Capio A/S in order to focus fully on the tasks as Chief Medical Officer, he says:

"The changing market conditions for the private hospital industry make it necessary to focus even more on developing specialties and new market areas combined with efficiency and quality in the treatment of our patients. This focus requires the utmost attention and dedication. I look forward to once again being able to focus fully on strengthening Capio's efforts closer to customers and patients."

We are confident that Søren's dedication to the development of the medical field ensures Capio a strong balance in the future market. Søren continues to represent Capio in the chairmanship of Sundhed Danmark and as a board member of Dansk Erhverv.

Christan Bech Høngaard returns as CEO of Capio A/S

In continuation of the above, we are pleased to present Christian Bech Høngaard as the new CEO of Capio A/S from June 2024. Christian is already a familiar face in Capio, as he was CEO in the period 2020-2023. For the past year, Christian has been part of the management team at Ramsay Health Australia, where he has focused on strategy development and implementation of operational best practice across the group. Christian states:

"We are now changing the team to be able to act in the best possible way in a very complex market. I look forward to resuming the collaboration with the fantastic colleagues in Capio and not least our customers and partners. There are great challenges ahead, and I look forward to getting to work."

Søren and Christian look forward to continuing their good collaboration with a focus on ensuring the most health for the money, without compromising on the quality of the treatment we offer our customers and patients.
