CSR & Sustainability

Our CSR work is based on a holistic approach, where we are conscious and purposeful in our work for a more sustainable future. At Capio, we work from three sustainability pillars that focus on caring for people, planet and society. These three areas are crucial to our individual well-being, shared success and future opportunities and are connected to our fundamental company philosophy: People Caring for People.

Our ambitious goal

As part of the Ramsay Group, our goal setting and CSR work is linked to the overall strategy and overall goals across the organization. Our goal is to have zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2040. This is a very ambitious goal, which shows that the green agenda is a high priority in our company.

How will we achieve our goals?

We will achieve the goal, which we call Net Zero by 2040, by switching even more to sustainable energy and maximizing energy efficiency in our operations. In addition, we will reduce emissions from anaesthetic gases, minimize and recycle waste and upgrade our hospitals and clinics with the implementation of sustainable solutions. Last but not least, we will collaborate with our suppliers and recognized research institutes on projects to address some of the biggest challenges we face. Here, the work with circular processes and products is a focus area, where especially the reduction and recycling of plastic will help us reach our goal.

We are part of the local community in Denmark. We therefore have a responsibility to think of the local community as an important partner in solving common challenges.
