Research into the future of knee surgery - Capio participates in WISER TKA

At Capio Private Hospital in Aalborg, we have proudly been a part of the scientific project WISER TKA, conducted in collaboration with Aalborg University Hospital and Interdisciplinary Orthopaedics.

What is WISER TKA?

WISER TKA stands for "Wearable Sensor Technology for Total Knee Arthroplasty" and investigates how wearable sensors can optimize the treatment of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty. The project measures patients' physical activity levels and walking quality over time to gain a deeper understanding of the effects of rehabilitation.

The sensors record data before and after surgery, providing a unique insight into patient progress. This data can potentially lead to better treatment options and more precise rehabilitation programs.
