FAQ
What's the difference between a health check and a health examination?
A health check at Capio includes measurements of body composition, cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and fitness level, as well as a lifestyle conversation and action plan. It focuses on a quick assessment of your health status and practical advice for improvement.
A medical examination is more comprehensive and includes a medical examination, lung function test, resting ECG, ultrasound scans and a detailed health report. The examination is designed to identify potential health issues and provide an in-depth analysis of your health condition.

Who is covered by night checks and why is it necessary?
A night check is a 45-minute health check that is mandatory for night workers according to the Working Environment Act. A night worker is defined in the Working Hours Act as an employee who normally performs at least 3 hours of their daily working hours during the night period, or an employee who performs night work for at least 300 hours within a 12-month period. This check is important to monitor the health of night workers, as night work can negatively affect both physical and mental health.
How often should I get a health check?
It is generally recommended to have a health check at least once a year, especially if you have a busy schedule, work night shifts or have health risks such as high blood pressure, diabetes or obesity. For night workers, a health check is required by law upon employment and at least every three years.
How is my health data handled after the health check?
We understand that protecting your personal health data is important. After your health check, all your measurements and questionnaire results are treated confidentially and stored securely. Your data is only accessible to you and the healthcare professionals performing the health check. The company will not have access to individual employee health data.
To help the company understand the overall health of its employees, we create an anonymized report that shows aggregated data without identifying individuals. This ensures that your personal health information remains private while the company can gain insights into overall health trends and needs.
