After the procedure, you'll be taken to the ward where you'll be monitored until you're ready to be picked up - usually after a few hours. Once you've been under general anesthesia, you won't be allowed to drive yourself home and you'll need adult supervision for the first 24 hours. You may experience mild pain after the procedure, and you will be given painkillers to take home for the first three days after surgery. It is common for you to have bleeding similar to a normal menstrual period for about a week. After that, it will decrease, but you should expect to bleed for 2-3 weeks.
If you experience sudden acute pain, contact your general practitioner or the emergency doctor if it's outside of doctor's office hours.
