ECG (cardiac cardiogram)

An ECG is an electrocardiogram that is measured by applying electrodes to the patient's body from which the electrical impulses going through the heart can be measured. This gives the cardiologist a lot of information about the health of your heart, which can be used to assess your symptoms. Among other things, the examination can show whether you have heart rhythm disturbances, signs of reduced oxygen supply to the heart, signs of heart muscle disease or signs of a previous blood clot.

The ECG measurement itself takes just one minute and is a safe and painless test.

Echocardiography (ultrasound examination of the heart)

An echocardiogram is an ultrasound examination of the heart. The sound waves allow the cardiologist to see if the heart valves and chambers are functioning properly. With an echocardiogram, we can, among other things, check whether the heart and its chambers are of normal size. We can also check for signs of holes in the heart, signs of heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy) and inflammation of the heart valves (endocarditis).

A regular echocardiogram is a painless and completely safe examination.
