Surgery for tendonitis
(De Quervain's tenosynovitis)
At Capio Private Hospital, we offer surgery for tendon sheath inflammation (De Quervain’s syndrome or tenosynovitis), a condition in which the tendon sheath at the wrist becomes narrowed. This can cause pain and discomfort on the thumb side of the wrist.
The purpose of the surgery is to relieve these symptoms by widening the tight tendon sheath so that the irritated tendons can glide freely again. The procedure can help improve hand function and reduce pain in daily life.
