The recovery period depends on whether you received Botox or underwent surgery.
After Botox, you can usually return to your normal activities quickly. You may experience mild tenderness or irritation around the injection sites, which typically subsides on its own.
After surgery, the area will need more time to heal. You may experience tenderness, swelling, and discoloration in your armpits at first. You will receive instructions on wound care, activity, and when you can return to work, exercise, and other daily activities.
After surgical treatment, a compression bandage is applied, which should normally be worn for 3–4 days. You should avoid vigorous arm movements for 10–14 days. You may take a shower the day after surgery, but the bandage must be changed afterward and kept dry. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation home, and you are advised not to drive yourself home. If you were under general anesthesia, you must not drive for the first 24 hours.
