Essential is designed for companies that want to provide their employees with a comprehensive and effective overview of their health. The package includes key health metrics, blood tests, lung function testing, an ECG, a lifestyle consultation, and a medical evaluation.

Executive Health Checkup

Capio’s most comprehensive health examination

The Executive Health Examination is designed for executives, business owners, partners, and key employees for whom health, energy, and long-term performance are particularly important.

The package includes everything in the Premium plan and adds an initial consultation, a full-body MRI scan, and a comprehensive health assessment that combines a medical examination, advanced diagnostic imaging, objective measurements, a lifestyle review, and personalized recommendations.

The full-body MRI scan is performed without the use of radiation and provides insight into large parts of the body. Together with the clinical examination and follow-up, the Executive Health Assessment Program offers a detailed and preventive overview of the individual’s health.

How are your health packages designed for prevention?

Capio’s health packages are designed to give employees a thorough understanding of their current state of health and to identify risk factors that may require timely action.

The assessment is based on the employee’s health, lifestyle, family history, and any symptoms. Based on a digital questionnaire, relevant measurements, blood tests, and a medical evaluation, the employee receives a comprehensive assessment of their health.

The goal is to detect signs of imbalances or risk factors early on—before they potentially develop into actual health problems. This may include, for example, high blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, lung function, heart rate, physical fitness, or other factors that may affect an individual’s well-being and ability to work.

Employees receive personalized guidance and specific recommendations on how to improve their health through relevant lifestyle changes, follow-up care, or further evaluation as needed. In this way, the health screening becomes not just a snapshot of current health, but an active tool for prevention and better health.

Why aren't cancer marker blood tests included in the packs?

At Capio, we do not routinely offer tumor marker blood tests as part of preventive health screenings for people without symptoms.

This is because tumor marker blood tests are not accurate enough for general screening. A test result may be elevated even in the absence of cancer, and it may be normal even when cancer is present. As a result, the test can cause unnecessary anxiety, create a false sense of security, and lead to further tests that do not necessarily benefit the individual.

Instead, our health packages are based on a comprehensive medical assessment of your health. We combine a questionnaire, a consultation, a clinical examination, relevant measurements, and blood tests to provide insight into your body’s key functions and risk factors.

If the medical examination raises concerns about a potential health condition, we will advise you on appropriate follow-up care and further testing.

In this way, we prioritize a thorough, responsible, and evidence-based approach to prevention.

Why isn't mammography included in the standard coverage packages?

Capio's health check-up packages are preventive health screenings for people without symptoms. Therefore, mammograms are not included as standard in the packages.

Denmark already has a national breast cancer screening program in which women aged 50–69 are invited to undergo mammography screening every two years. The program is based on a comprehensive professional assessment of the benefits and drawbacks of screening.

Mammography is an X-ray examination and should therefore be used selectively—either as part of the national screening program or if symptoms, findings, family history, or an individual medical assessment warrant further investigation.

At Capio, clinical mammography is available as an optional service when appropriate. This may be arranged, for example, based on the initial consultation, the employee’s medical history, or a specific medical assessment.

This way, we ensure that mammography is used responsibly and based on each individual’s specific situation—not as a standard screening test for everyone.

How do Capio’s health screenings differ from a standard health checkup?

A standard health checkup typically consists of a series of basic tests and a general assessment of your health. At Capio, we go a step further.

Our health assessments combine blood tests, a clinical examination, a lifestyle consultation, and relevant measurements with a medical evaluation and specific recommendations. This means that you don’t just receive numbers and test results, but a comprehensive assessment of your health and the risk factors that may be relevant to you.

Our more comprehensive packages also include advanced imaging diagnostics. The Premium and Executive packages include ultrasound scans of the carotid arteries, neck vessels, and thyroid gland, while the Executive Health Checkup also includes Full-body MRI scan.

In addition, Capio can assist with further evaluation if the examination warrants it. This makes our health screenings more than just a traditional check-up—they are a preventive health service offering medical expertise, personalized advice, and the option for follow-up care.

What does a health checkup at Capio include?

All packages include key tests such as blood pressure measurement, measurement of weight, height, BMI, body fat percentage, and waist circumference, a lung function test, a resting ECG, blood tests, and a comprehensive medical evaluation.

The Premium and Executive packages offer a more in-depth assessment. The Premium package includes, among other things, a fitness assessment using Seismofit, an in-depth review of results and lifestyle factors, as well as an ultrasound scan of the carotid arteries, neck vessels, and thyroid gland. The Executive Health Checkup also includes an initial consultation and Full-body MRI scan.

In addition, additional tests can be added as needed, such as a dermatological examination, a cardiological examination, a colonoscopy, a DEXA scan, a clinical mammogram, a gynecological examination, an assessment of menopause, an ultrasound scan of the testicles or prostate, and an assessment of age-related testosterone deficiency.

Optional treatments are always evaluated based on the individual’s needs, symptoms, family history, and medical indications.

Which health plan should our company choose?

The choice of health package depends on the scope of preventive health services you wish to offer your employees.

Essential is a great choice if you’re looking for a comprehensive health checkup that includes key measurements, blood tests, a physical exam, a lifestyle consultation, and specific recommendations.

The Premium package is recommended if you’d like a more in-depth examination. It includes a fitness assessment using Seismofit, a more detailed review of your results, and an ultrasound scan of your carotid arteries, neck vessels, and thyroid gland.

The Executive Health Checkup is Capio’s most comprehensive health package and includes, among other things, an initial consultation and Full-body MRI scan.
