In addition to general pediatrics (pediatric diseases), we offer specialist assessment and treatment of gastroenterological problems in children, covering the gastrointestinal and digestive system, including growth problems and impaired well-being. We evaluate children with gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, reflux, vomiting, stool changes, constipation, stool incontinence, blood in the stool, diarrhea and weight gain.

Ear, nose and throat diseases
Negative pressure, fluid and possibly recurrent cases of acute otitis media are very common in children. Often the cause is a blockage of the eustachian tube (the connection between the middle ear and the nasopharynx), for example due to "adenoid polyps" (adenoid vegetations), which are swollen lymphatic tissue in the nasopharynx. An ear, nose and throat specialist can remove the adenoids, which, in addition to fluid in the ears causing hearing loss, will often cause symptoms such as "snoring, snot and sniffles". If there is fluid in the ears or repeated middle ear infections, the doctor will often insert a drain (a small tube) into the eardrum.
