Introduction

Christian von Buchwald works at Capio Hellerup as a consultant with a special interest in nose and sinus surgery.

Education and training

Christian von Buchwald graduated as a doctor from the University of Copenhagen in 1983, Dr. med. in 1996, consultant physician at Righospitalet in 1998 and professor of ear, nose and throat diseases at the University of Copenhagen in 2008.

Experience

Christian von Buchwald's research continues to understand and improve the treatment of ear, nose and throat diseases and has been focused on clarifying the causes of infections, especially in the nose and sinuses, as well as introducing new and more gentle surgical treatment principles in nose and sinus surgery and head and neck surgery.

He is the editor and author of the Danish textbook on ear, nose and throat diseases and is often invited abroad as a lecturer.
