Introduction

Martin Lauritzen graduated in medicine from the University of Copenhagen in 1978 and subsequently trained at Copenhagen hospital departments. He worked scientifically in the USA for 1 year and has specialist recognition in clinical neurophysiology.

Experience

• Consultant at the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at Glostrup Hospital in 1994, senior consultant from 1994-2010, since 2010 consultant in charge of specialties and since 2015 consultant at Rigshospitalet.
• Since 1998 Professor of Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Copenhagen.

Martin Lauritzen has an extensive scientific production with more than 180 publications, the majority of which deal with brain function in acute brain injuries, aging, brain blood flow and brain energy metabolism.
