Introduction

I have previously spent many years at Rigshospitalet specializing in the treatment of deformities in children, adolescents, elderly and old people. We also had an emergency function for bone fractures, inflammation, tumors and metastases in the neck, thoracic spine, lumbar spine and sacrum. In recent years, I have primarily focused on the treatment of degenerative disorders of the spine - e.g. herniated discs, disc degeneration, facet joint arthrosis, spinal stenosis, root canal stenosis, etc.

Together with the patient, we will find the most appropriate treatment. This can be conservative treatment (exercise, stretching and relevant painkillers) or surgery (e.g. from the front through the neck or abdomen - or from behind in the neck or lower back). A few patients will be in the gray area between conservative and surgical treatment (where we have to wait and see in a control process).
