How far you have to go into the scanner is determined by which part of your body we need to examine. The same applies to the time you spend in the scanner. A typical MRI scan lasts between 20 minutes and 1 hour. Our radiographers are experienced and highly specialized, and they are used to guiding and helping our patients safely through the scan.
We understand that some patients may feel uncomfortable being scanned in a narrower scanner. Therefore, we recommend that you consider the size of the scanner when booking your appointment.
