Capio AB acquires CFR Hospitals

Capio AB has decided to enter the Danish market for private hospitals by acquiring 70% of CFR Hospitals A/S. The previous major shareholders of the company will continue as shareholders and the management of the company will remain unchanged. The planned entry into the Capio Group will take place in January 2017.

Capio A/B, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, is Scandinavia's largest private hospital group with operations in France, Germany and Scandinavia. Capio has extensive experience in hospital operations and operates, among other things, a public hospital in Stockholm as well as numerous treatment centers within all major medical specialties in the above-mentioned countries.

CFR- Hospitals has four hospitals in Denmark offering treatment in 21 medical specialties. The company has a long history in Denmark after being established in 2004 and has more than 80,000 patient contacts and performs over 8,000 surgeries per year, providing services to the public sector, insurance companies and private individuals.

The acquisition anchors CFR Hospitals in a large group with stability and quality as its main goals. This is part of a long-term strategy that improves the company's future development opportunities.
