The Danish Medicines Agency has reported that multi-resistant bacteria have been found in the medicine Dicillin 500 mg capsules from the company Sandoz.
If you have been given Dicillin capsules:
You need to go to the pharmacy and get the medication switched. It's important that you don't interrupt your treatment and receive another similar antibiotic without having to get a new prescription from your doctor.
You must return any leftover Dicillin 500 mg to the pharmacy.
If you have taken Dicillin, you should pay special attention to the following:
Signs of cystitis or diarrhea.
If you have the above symptoms, you should contact your doctor and get tested for possible infection with CPO bacteria.
If you go to your doctor with symptoms of infection, tell them if you have taken Dicillin within the last four months.
The product has now been withdrawn.
