Introduction

Ann Bovin has particular expertise in the investigation and treatment of ischemic heart disease, including diagnostics, risk assessment, acute treatment, aftercare, rehabilitation and secondary prevention. She also has an interest in sports cardiology, risk assessment and aviation medicine.

Ann Bovin researches cardiac rehabilitation and in 2007 introduced specialized interdisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation after acute blood clot in the heart at the hospitals in Viborg and Skive.

Ann Bovin is a specialist trained at Hospitalsenheden Vest Herning and Aarhus University Hospital Skejby and is currently section leader for cardiac rehabilitation at Lillebælt Hospital Vejle.

  • Former chairman of the working group for Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation in the Danish Society of Cardiology DCS.
  • One of the initiators of the national research project DanBlock, which investigates the effect of beta-blocker treatment after acute heart attack.
  • Former member of the DCS NBV committee 2015-2019, which coordinates the National Treatment Guidance.
