Press release: Capio CFR A/S acquires another hospital and radiology clinic in Denmark
Capio CFR A/S has through acquisition of assets acquired Viborg Privathospital ("Viborg") and MR Scanner Aarhus. The business in Viborg is mainly specialized in orthopaedics and general surgery, while the business MR Scanner Aarhus performs imaging examinations. The acquisition strengthens Capio CFR's existing business in Jutland and is expected to strengthen the specialized treatment through collaboration with the units in Skørping and Aarhus.
Viborg is centrally located in Jutland, less than an hour's drive from Capio CFR's units in Skørping in North Jutland and in Aarhus. The acquisition strengthens Capio CFR's presence in the region and increases our offering and capacity to contribute with a greater responsibility within healthcare services in Jutland. This applies within the public hospital system and towards the insurance companies. With this acquisition, we can see the benefits of resources being shared by the three specialized hospitals in Jutland, further strengthening the offer to our patients.
Viborg will be integrated into Capio CFR, which has been part of Capio AB since January 1, 2017. After the acquisition, Capio has six specialized hospitals and clinics in four out of the five regions in Denmark.
