Martin Meienburg completed his specialist training in Rheumatology at Vejle Hospital and Odense University Hospital. He has since worked at the Medical Department at Vejle Hospital as a consultant in Rheumatology, where he has primarily treated and diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spinal arthritis, gout and connective tissue diseases.

Even before he began to specialize as a rheumatologist, he has been interested in and trained in sports medicine through courses and congresses. He is a trained sports physician within the Danish Society of Sports Medicine and has been active on its board as treasurer and was part of the organizing group for its annual congress and Scandinavian sports congress. For four years, he has been part of the Sports Medicine Outpatient Clinic at Middelfart Hospital as a senior physician.

For Martin, ultrasound examinations are an important part of the assessment and he also uses them for blockade and contrast. Since the beginning of his specialization, he has spent a lot of time gaining expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
