Crooked nasal septum

A deviated nasal septum surgery is performed to correct deviations in the nasal septum that interfere with air passage. The surgery is performed through an incision in the front of the nasal septum without external scars. Crooked parts of the nasal septum are moved to the center or removed. In some cases, a reduction of the nasal bones is performed at the same time to create more space.

Removal of tonsils

At Capio, we perform tonsillectomies, which means surgical removal of the tonsils (tonsils). Although the procedure is performed less frequently than in the past, it is still one of the most common surgeries performed - especially in children.

Jeanne Annette Rungby

Jeanne Annette Rungby has particular experience in surgery of deviated nasal septum and external nose as well as common ear, nose and throat procedures such as tonsillectomy, uvula removal, adenoids and drainage. In addition, minor procedures including various plastic surgery procedures on the outer ears, such as earlobe reconstruction after stretches (too large holes after earrings) under local anesthesia.

Per Leganger Larsen

Per Larsen is a consultant and specialist in ear, nose and throat diseases (oto-rrhino-laryngology). He currently works as a consultant at Capio in Hellerup and was involved in introducing the ear, nose and throat specialty at Capio Hellerup (then CFR) in 2011. He has previously worked at several private hospitals in Copenhagen and continues to do so.Per Larsen masters most ear, nose and throat surgical procedures, but has sub-specialized in functional binocular-guided sinus surgery and hearing enhancement procedures. Today, he therefore works primarily with sinus surgery, tympanoplasty (myringoplasty) and middle ear surgery with reconstruction of the ossicular chain (hearing enhancement surgery) and septoplasty (surgery for a deviated nasal septum).

Kristian Bruun Petersen

Kristian Bruun Petersen is a specialist in ear, nose and throat surgery and works as a nose and sinus surgeon at Aarhus University Hospital. He is responsible for the examination and treatment of chronic nose and sinus-related diseases and both general and highly specialized functional and cosmetic nose surgery. He is a member of Allergicenter Vest, which handles the treatment of the most complex cases of chronic nasal and sinusitis in Western Denmark, and until recently he was medical director of the Sleep Clinic at AUH.
